I created this short booklet for a classroom exercise in a publication design class. Each student chose a book from the School of Art's library and created a 16-page self-cover booklet discussing the design of that book.
The book I chose was all about Grayson Perry's art career and because of this, the book was very colorful, detailed, and expressive. I wanted to capture the beauty and spirit of the book in my own publication, so I used full-bleed detail shots of its most interesting pages and chose a juicy typeface for my headers. I also borrowed the book's bright color palette of green, pink, and purple to emulate its energy.
